Vizio P65-C1 Review

Vizio P Series displays are the first display to offer Dolby Vision HDR with a great picture. It is hard to find a cheaper ticket than the Vizio P Series displays with the wonderful world of HDR (High Dynamic Range). P65-C1 is an entertainment display, not smart TV which has no over-the-air tuner, only limited media playback from USB mass storage, there are no apps on boards, and there is no on-screen user interface beyond basics such as volume, input switching, and aspect ratio. P65-C1 is identical with P50-C1, the biggest difference is on its screen size. Several features of this model are also can be found in the largest P Series: P75-C1. Vizio P65-C1 Design

Vizio P65-C1 has identical appearance with P50-C1 that is an attractive and slightly shiny TV screen, with half-inch brushed metallic bezels instead of the typical black plastic mostly seen on most television screen. You can see that the bezels of P65-C1 are also completely flat, with the sides of the screen featuring a grid-like texture and the top edge sharing the same smooth brushed surface as the bezels themselves with no curved shape at its corner. There are two V-shaped metal feet that hold it up steadily with no wiggle where the television can stand on. The V-shaped feet where the TV stand on spread wide enough, so you need to provide enough space to put the TV screen on, and be careful to keep the feet away from the edge of your table or cabinet to prevent the set from unexpected toppling forward.

Vizio P65-C1 Picture

The picture’s color on Vizio P65-C1 is more accurate than the average LED/LCD display. Vizio uses a different red/green dye on top of tuned blue LEDs to great effect. Vizio P65-C1 provides the best non-OLED performance, where the picture has an overall uptick in brightness, but it’s rather small and the letterbox bars remain a solid black. While the other displays with the average class as Vizio, its letterbox bars become a lighter shade of gray and the backlights are clearly visible. With the whole thing about this dark scenes, the Vizio P65-C1 and it is full array backlight out-perform what any edge-lit display can do. When you are watching movies on this P65-C1 display, the nighttime is much more clear than on the other displays. The P65-C1 display also has the best shadow detail and dark scene performance if any TV. It has a dynamic backlight which works very well, with little blooming of other artifacts.

By the recent upgrade to the firmware which added HDR10 support makes it capable to do HDR from Ultra HD Blu-ray disc. The expanded color gamut and the spectacular highlights shine greatly. You can also the great thing of P65-C1 picture quality of the simple things like the red light of a robot are brighter and richer than on a Blu-ray disc and it makes it stand out. Well, it is a bit disappointing that P65-C1 cannot do HDR highlight as bright as the other displays like Sony or Samsung TV, but it can do them while still maintaining far better black levels.

Both good and bad thing possibly come when you are using GoogleCast to watch content on the Vizio. It has never been easier for searching and finding the content you want. Since you are using a tablet which is used as the remote control, the apps support keyboard entry and often voice search, which is much better than an on-screen keyboard. Moreover, it always has updated apps with the latest version of the interface to make it easy to use. Besides the included tablet, you can also use your iPhone to operate the TV because the Vizio app also runs on iOS.

Vizio P Series 4K televisions are technically impressive, and these are also loaded with features. Because of the greater color gamut, the Vizio P Series is still a very strong pick among midrange 4K TVs. The SmartCast platform is a welcome departure from most other connected televisions, and the included tablet puts its various media features right at fingertips. Vizio P Series has fantastic contrast, but sadly its color range is not quite impressive. We may get better color color range of the similarly priced TV screen. without the wider array of colors, Vizio P Series only displays offer half benefits HDR can offer.
